The Association of Land Economy and Valuation Surveyors
The Association of Land Economy and Valuation Surveyors (ALEVS) came into being in 1974 and has been actively engaging professionals who are referred to as Estate Managers, Land Administrators, Land Economy Surveyors, Valuation Surveyors or General Practice Surveyors. Its mission was to "To promote the development of a qualified and experienced cadre of professionals who practice with due regard to local and international standards of competence and ethics, so that the clients so served will benefit from the highest standard of professionalism and competence".

Currently the Association has a council of 10 members and a membership and supporter network of over 100 individuals. ALEVS represents the interests of valuation surveyors practicing in Jamaica on the Construction Industry Council and has close linkages with other professional organizations and regulators such the Real Estate Board (REB), Realtor Association of Jamaica (RAJ); Land Surveyors Association (LSAJ), the Jamaica Institute of Quantity Surveyors (JIQS), the Jamaica Institute of Engineers (JIE), the Institute of Chartered Accountants Jamaica among others (ICAJ).
