Past President's Message

Good day my fellow members,

On behalf of the ALEVS Executive Council (2019- 2022), I would like to simply say ‘Thank You'! We thank you for your support, your understanding and encouragement as we worked diligently towards enhancing the Association. It was a fruitful three (3) years of service as we created tighter bonds with stakeholders; increased awareness of our brand; cleared debts; continued with professional training; and increased in our membership numbers.

Now that our time has passed, we ask that all our members continue with the same attitude of support for the newly elected Executive Council (2022/2023). The team is led by Mr. Jermaine Williamson, who has expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the progress we have made so far. Other members of the Council are Dr. Tina Beale (Vice President); Mrs. Rochelle Channer Miller (Secretary); Mr. Ludlow Bowie (Treasurer) and Council Members, Mrs. Kadian Arthurs Pinnock; Ms. Amanda McAnuff; Mrs. Dondreen Thyme; Mr. Daniel Tulloch-Reid; and Mr. Nevorn Simms. I remain on council as the Immediate Past President. We believe that they are a team of intelligent and vibrant professionals that can lead us into the next phase of the goal for the association. However, we have to be mindful of the support that they will require from all of us.

As we celebrate our 48th anniversary, let us do so with pride; understanding where we are coming from, but also where we are going! To the new executive committee, we trust that you will continue with the work that has started and take us to even greater heights.
